Ms. Smeltzer specializes in landscape design, park design, infill development, large-scale planning projects, and environmental design including green roof design, shoreline protection, local and state regulatory compliance and LEED compliance.
Ms. Smeltzer has participated in several City of Annapolis projects, including Annapolis/Anne Arundel County Visitors Center Surface Parking, Annapolis Recreation Center, Back Creek Nature Park, Waterworks Park, and the Maryland Horse Park Request for Nomination of Real Property. These projects include trail master plans, Critical Area review, site and planting design, stormwater management, permeable paving and green roofs. In addition, she has assisted on local and regional commercial and residential developments such as Annapolis Post Office Condominiums, Annapolis Science Center, Shipyard Alley, Clarksburg Town Center, Gibson's Grant, and Harbor Station, providing landscape design, forest conservation plans, buffer management plans, wetland restoration efforts, entrance features and streetscape planting design.
